Ten days let us really sink into Belize
We debated between 8, 9, and 10 days. So happy we went all in. By day 4 we'd stopped looking at watches. By day 7 we'd made friends with the lodge staff. Having 6 tour choices meant we could do Tikal AND Caracol AND ATM Cave without rushing. Our guide Ernesto on the Cockscomb jungle hike found us a glimpse of a jaguar track. FRESH jaguar track. Still gives me goosebumps.

The premium lodge was worth every penny
We upgraded to the signature tier and WOW. Ka'ana Resort felt like a dream. Infinity pool overlooking the jungle, gourmet food, but still authentic. My father-in-law finally admitted I plan good trips

We laughed until our cheeks hurt
I don't think I've ever laughed so much on a vacation. The guides have this warm, funny energy that's contagious.
