12 days was absolutely the right call

Tikal at sunrise. Still processing.

Our teenagers asked to extend the trip
When your 15 and 17 year olds beg to stay longer, you know you planned something right. They loved the adventure stuff obviously - ziplines, snorkeling - but they also loved the guides. Luis taught our son some Spanish phrases. Maria taught our daughter to spot stingrays. They came back with confidence and curiosity I haven't seen in years. Worth every penny and then some.
