Belize UTV to Altun Ha Maya Ruins Tour

Pickup begins at 7:00 AM from your hotel, Airbnb, water taxi terminal, or the municipal airstrip in Belize City. By 8:00 AM the group rolls out of the city and into the Belizean countryside, where rolling savanna gives way to thick tropical forest.

At the jungle outpost your guides walk you through a full safety briefing before handing over the keys to your UTV. You then take off on winding jungle trails, splashing through muddy terrain and weaving past towering hardwoods, palms, and curtains of vines.

After the UTV adventure the tour continues to Altun Ha, one of the most important Maya cities in northern Belize. A professional local guide walks you through the plazas, ceremonial structures, and temples, explaining the history of the site and the daily life of the ancient Maya who built it.

You will have plenty of time to climb the main temples where allowed, take photos, and soak in the jungle setting before the comfortable air-conditioned ride back to Belize City. Total tour time is approximately 5 to 6 hours from the activity start.
