About Your Belize Cave Tubing Zipline and Xunantunich Tour
Belize Fun Tour’s Triple tour to Xunantunich Maya Ruins, Zipline and Cave Tubing at Nohoch Che’en Archaeological reserve is an excellent way to experience a great cross section of Belize. From Maya History, to rain-forest adventures to Xibalba the entrance to the Maya Underword (Cave Tubing) you spend a fun filled day with the Fun Tours family!
Pickup for this amazing adventure starts at 7am from hotels and airbnbs and from the water taxis and municipal airstrip by 7:30am. We aim to depart Belize City by 8am to make the most of the day. If we have no other guests for the day and its only your family we depart as you arrive or we pick up from your accommodations.
Heading west for 70 miles, travelling along the George Price highway though small villages your guide will explain our culture, political and religious history, flora and fauna. Where we came from and what makes Belize uniquely Belize. Time flies by and a short 1.5 hours later we arrive at the village of San Jose Succutz, here on the banks of the Mopan river we alight the vehicle and walk onto a hand cranked ferry. After crossing we reboard and it’s a 1 mile drive to the parking lot. Your guide will get your entrance bracelets and its off to tour. You will have a change to climb El Castillio one of the 3 tallest temples and structures in Belize. After your tour we reboard your vehicle and we head back along the George Price highway to Mile 38, one hours drive, to Nohoch Che’en Archaeological Reserve.
Here we will first head into the rainforest. Your onsite guides will adorn you with safety harness, helmets and give the tour introduction. We then walk the trails to the first zipline. Here your guides will give you a full explanation of hand signals and what to do and not do. We will cross 6 platforms and 7 lines. After your zipline tour is complete
We enter the Archaeological park for Cave Tubing, Your guide will get your entrance bracelets. Much like Xunantunich the park is managed by NICH the National Institute for Culture and History. While on tour its mandatory to wear that bracelet as it identifies that your entrance fees have been paid.
You will have time to use bathrooms and change your clothing. The vehicle is your security chest and anything you don’t want to get wet can be securely locked away. You will then be given life vests and your helmet. Belize Fun Tours does not let our guests back their tubes to the top of the caves like other operators. Your tubes will be at the top of the start point waiting for you. Along the trail your guide will be pointing out the Flora and Fauna of the immediate surroundings and will take you on a tour of where our Maya ancestors once believed to be the sacred entrance to the underworld.

Perfect mix of adventure and history
Cave tubing was so chill and beautiful - you just float through these underground rivers in your tube, headlamp showing the cave formations. Totally relaxing. Zipline woke us back up - good adrenaline rush. Then Xunantunich to cap it off. El Castillo is MASSIVE, the view from the top is unreal. You can see into Guatemala! Guide was knowledgeable and funny. Great day, great tour.

Amazing combination of activities
We debated between several tours and this one was the right choice. Cave tubing is so cool - you're literally floating through underground river caves. Very mellow and beautiful. Zipline added excitement. Xunantunich was incredible - the scale of El Castillo is hard to comprehend until you're standing at its base. Climbing to the top is a must. Fantastic tour!

Cave tubing through those ancient caves was amazing. The formations inside are wild and it's super peaceful just floating along. Zipline was a blast. Xunantunich blew my mind - El Castillo is huge and you can climb all the way to the top for insane views. Our guide knew so much about Maya history and culture. Transportation was comfortable, everything ran on time. Awesome day.
