ATV and Altun Ha was the perfect combination

We were picked up from the Ramada Princess right on schedule and headed out to the jungle for the ATV portion first. The trails were incredible with thick vegetation on both sides and some really fun muddy sections that had everyone in our group cheering. After the ATV ride we drove about 30 minutes to Altun Ha and the ruins were absolutely stunning. Our guide explained everything about the Jade Head artifact and the Temple of the Masonry Altars in a way that made the history come alive. We climbed to the top of the Sun God Temple and had panoramic views of the surrounding jungle. Lunch was traditional Belizean stew chicken with rice and beans. Highly recommend this combo.

Best value tour we found in Belize

My girlfriend and I wanted to do something adventurous but also see some Maya history so this tour was exactly right. The ATV trails wind through real jungle and our guide pointed out different tropical plants and birds along the way. At Altun Ha we had the site mostly to ourselves which made the experience feel really special. Standing on top of the main temple and looking out over the jungle was a moment I will never forget. Our guide told us this is where the famous Jade Head was discovered, which is now the national symbol of Belize. The included lunch was generous and delicious. For the price this tour is an incredible deal.

Thrilling ATV ride and fascinating ruins

This was our first time riding ATVs and the guides made us feel completely comfortable before we started. The jungle trails were exciting with hills, puddles, and tight turns that kept things interesting the whole way through. After the ATV adventure we cleaned up a bit and drove to Altun Ha. The ruins are well maintained and our guide gave us a detailed history of the site including the trade routes the Maya used and the significance of the jade artifacts found here. The Temple of the Sun God is impressive and the climb to the top gives you a wonderful view of the surrounding area. Lunch was served at a local spot with stew chicken and fried plantains. Wonderful day from start to finish.
